  • About KCC
  • Greetings

Welcome to the Korean Cultural Centre in South Africa.

South Africa is well-known as a leading and multi-ethnic country, leading the African economy, as the largest market in Africa, and as a gateway to Africa. For a lot of people, it is famous as a country of gold, diamonds, and wine, but it is also a country with culturally colourful scenery, lively music, and various races and cultures attracting artists from all around the world.

The Korean Cultural Centre in South Africa, which is the 33rd in the world to open in November 2021, has an Auditorium (Performance Hall) that can accommodate 100 people, 3 Exhibition Halls, a K-POP and Taekwondo Studio, a Cultural Experience Room, a Library, a Cooking Studio, 3 Lecture Rooms, and a Cafeteria.

The Korean Cultural Centre will introduce a wide range of Korean cultural content such as movies, fashion, food, beauty, Korean language, sports, games, animations, as well as popular K-pop and K-dramas in South Africa. We aim to pursue a strategy to build a deeper understanding by creating collaborative projects and promoting long-term cultural relations between the two countries. In addition, in line with the trend of digital transformation, we will continue to make efforts to spread Korean culture and build a fandom of K-culture by utilizing an online media platform to reach out to a wider public throughout South Africa. In this regard, we would like to ask for your interest, participation, and cooperation.

Thank you.
