Embassy Direct visit to KCCSA on 8 July 2022

On Friday, 8 July 2022, the Korean Cultural Centre in South Africa invited 21 people from the magazine publication,
"Embassy Direct" and related parties to the cultural centre to visit facilities such as the centre’s exhibition hall and
library and promoted Korean culture through traditional games and hanbok experiences.
Embassy Direct is a magazine publication that delivers news on diplomacy, culture, and travel, based on the African
continent, to subscribers and has a strong subscriber base in many countries beyond South Africa.
Through Ambassador Park Chull-joo's welcome speech and a tour of the cultural centre’s facilities, the guests were
interested in learning that Korea's economy was ranked among the top 10 in the world, the history of the Korean Wave,
and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and South Africa.

Afterwards, the guests had a great time watching Jegichagi, Ttakji chigi, and Tuho demonstrations by Ambassador
Park Chull-joo and employees of the Cultural Centre, and experiencing the Korean traditional games themselves.

Embassy Direct members who attended the event said they admired Korea's status and diverse culture through this visit and
thanked the cultural centre, saying they would like to visit it again with their families and acquaintances.In the future,
the Korean Cultural Centre in South Africa will continue to hold various Hallyu cultural events to raise interest in Korea and
promote the image of Korea.
