Calling all aspiring scholars in South Africa and Botswana!

The 2026 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) Graduate Programme is now open. This fully funded scholarship, supported by the Korean government, 

offers the opportunity to pursue Master’s or Doctoral degrees in Korea while experiencing academic life in one of the world’s leading education hubs.

  • Applications for 2026 will be accepted online only.

  • All eligibility criteria, required documents, and detailed instructions are provided in the official application guidelines. 

    Applicants are strongly encouraged to review the guidelines carefully before applying. Failure to meet any stated 

    requirement will result in disqualification.

  • All academic certificates must be apostilled. Non-apostilled documents cannot be accepted. 

    Applicants who pass the first round must submit the apostilled documents to the Korean Cultural Centre by 

    post or in person upon selection.
