1. Description

  a. Project : Outsourced Consultant Service (Librarian, Driver, & Receptionist)

   - Follow the attached “Request for Proposal.”

  b. Location : Korean Cultural Centre in South Africa (KCC)

   - 267 Waterkloof Road, Brooklyn, Pretoria, RSA

  c. Contract Term : 1 year (1 FEB 2025-31 JAN 2026)

  d. Bid amount : R518,760 (Inclusive of VAT)

    * Overtime, Severance pay, Trip expenses, and any other additional charges will be paid upon separate requests.

 

2. Qualifications

  a. Businesses registered for the Korean Cultural Centre’s open bid following the procedures set out below 

     and meet the Enforcement Decree of the Act on Contracts to Which the state is a Party 12

  b. Businesses not related to any legal disputes regarding the Act on Contracts to Which the state is a Party 27

   and the Enforcement Decree of the Act on Contracts to Which the state is a Party 76

  c. Businesses holding an official and valid license in South Africa

 

3. Bidding

  a. Period : 7-13 January 2025, 09:00

  b. Registration : Hand Delivery (The same location of KCC)

   Company Credit Report (or Income Tax Return)


4. Bidding Deposit

  a. The payment of bid security is exempted in accordance with Party 9 of the National Contract Act 

     and Party 37 of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act.

 

5. Process

  a. Among the companies that submitted a bid price equal to or greater than 88% of the estimated price, 

     the company with the lowest bid price

  b. Result : January 2025 to be individually contacted via email

  c. Contract Signing : Within 7 days of the result announcement

  d. The Korean Cultural Centre selects a second winner if the first winner doesn’t elect to sign a contract.

 

6. Others

  a. The Korean Cultural Centre promotes transparency and fairness in all contracts.

  b. The bidder must be fully aware of all the details required for the bid and respond to the bid accordingly. 

      The responsibility for not being aware of this lies with the bidder.

  c. The bidder must verify whether the information in the bid application matches exactly with the information 

      on the corporate registry, and then participate in the bid (representative, business name, etc.) accordingly.

  d. Any difference of interpretation would follow the interpretation of the Korean Cultural Centre.
