Korean bass Euihyun PARK takes the stage at the Korean Cultural Centre for an evening showcasing the remarkable range of the lowest male classical voice.

From the haunting drama of Schubert’s Erlkönig (The Erlking) to the commanding bass arias of Mozart and Rossini, PARK will bring his deep, resonant voice to a programme spanning classical songs, opera and Korean art songs. The evening moves between lyrical melodies and theatrical drama, offering a rare opportunity to experience the richness and power of the bass voice up close.

Bass Euihyun PARK

Euihyun PARK is a Korean bass with an international career spanning opera, concerts and oratorios in Korea and Germany. He made his European debut at Theater Aachen in 2013 and has since appeared as a guest soloist at Theater Aachen and Theater Trier, while performing in more than 100 concerts and oratorios with ensembles including Collegium Musicum der RWTH Aachen.

On the opera stage, PARK has performed major bass roles including Sarastro in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute), Don Basilio in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville), Timur in Turandot, Sparafucile in Rigoletto and the Commendatore in Don Giovanni. He made his Korean debut as Sarastro with Korea National Opera in 2020 and later served as a resident soloist with the company from 2023 to 2024.

PARK holds the Konzertexamen, the highest performance distinction, in Opera from the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln in Germany, where he also earned his Master of Music in Opera. He currently teaches at Seoul National University, Korea National University of Arts and the Catholic University of Korea.
