Discover the roots of K-pop through Korea’s timeless musical heritage!
Music transcends time and culture, and nowhere is that more vivid than in the meeting of K-pop and Korea’s centuries-old musical heritage.
This exhibition explores how today’s global K-pop phenomenon draws inspiration from Korea’s own musical heritage—from the elegance of royal court rituals and intimate gatherings where music and poetry were shared, to the vibrant street festivals alive with drums, dance, and theatrical performance. Original instruments, masks, and costumes reveal how these age-old traditions continue to shape the dazzling stages of modern K-pop, creating a dialogue between past and present that resonates around the world.
Step inside and experience the pulse of Korea’s musical journey, where tradition and contemporary creativity move as one.
This exhibition is organized in partnership with the National Gugak Center.
