K-IDENTITY: 한국문화의 이해 인문학 워크숍 | Module 6: Applied Art

How do art, design, and craftsmanship become part of everyday Korean life?

The K-Identity 2026 journey concludes with Module 6: Applied Art, exploring how artistic expression extends beyond galleries and into the objects, spaces, and designs that surround us. Through self-paced online learning and an in-person session, participants will discover the ideas, techniques, and aesthetics that have shaped Korea’s rich tradition of applied arts.

From traditional craftsmanship to the ways Korean aesthetics continue to evolve in contemporary design, this final module looks at the relationship between beauty and function, and how Korea’s cultural identity can be expressed through the objects of everyday life.
