Discover the beauty and craftsmanship of Korean traditional arts!
Join us at the Korean Cultural Centre for an eight-week hands-on journey into two distinctive Korean crafts: Dancheong (traditional decorative colouring on wood) and Najeonchilgi (mother-of-pearl lacquerware).
Choose one course and explore the techniques, cultural significance, and artistic traditions behind each craft while creating your own work throughout the programme. From the vibrant colours and patterns of Dancheong to the delicate brilliance of mother-of-pearl in Najeonchilgi, the courses offer a creative way to experience Korea’s rich artistic heritage firsthand.
Led by Youngju PARK from the King Sejong Institute, each course is open to all skill levels, with materials provided.
Participants must attend all eight sessions to complete the course and fully enjoy the creative process.
